OK, so it isn’t REALLY a hunt unless you wait until the last minute and the Harris Teeter doesn’t have any Cadbury Creme Eggs (I am pretty sure that this is punishable by death, but I guess maybe it was my fault for not going out sooner.

Anyway.

My idea of an easter treat involves a Cadbury Creme Egg.

First, you bite off the top. Then, you remove the inside goodness by whatever means necessary. I like a combination of licking out the goodness and then scooping out the rest with my finger – you know for the bits you can’t lick out.

Then, you grab a bottle of Godiva Chocolate liquer. Have you figured out where this is going???

Yep, you fill that chocolate egg cup up with the Godiva. Somehow I managed a great pour on Cristi’s, but mine and Lisa’s? yeah, there was some spill.

Next you take the Godiva liquer shot.

Finally, you eat the chocolate egg goodness!

When I first spoke of this yumminess to Cristi and Lisa, they were all in! So today we headed over to Lisa’s for our weekly weigh in (I lost 1.something – I am up to 17.something lost now – I would tell you for sure, but it is WAY over there in the book and I already walked 1.27 miles today) and dinner. Tonight I cooked Spaghetti with Baked Tomatoes and a lovely salad. Then there was the lovely chocolate treat. Followed by a Pineapple and Orange Sorbet (made with rum – mmmmmm). The receipes came out of the Best of WW Magazine Cookbook – and they were fantastic and filling. The chocolate egg shot glass – well that came out of a night of Aimee drinking a lot.

Hey, did you know they make chocolate shot glasses?? I saw them once and I am still kicking myself for not picking some up!

I have some WIPs, but I don’t have any pictures for you today. So, I will mention that I started a pair of socks this weekend and frogged them. I started a secret project and it is secret. I worked on Bellocq. And I started the Pi shawl.

What I really want to talk about today is me. I know, what’s new, right? But today there is less of me and that is because I have been trying to be less. Less fat that is. I am currently the heaviest I have ever been. Well, I was. 7 weeks ago. As of Sunday I am 16.2 lbs less. I am in a pair of jeans I haven’t worn in over a year. People are noticing that I look thinner. (I love those people the mostest).

I will not lie, it has been work, but it has been rewarding work and I am super excited to have gotten this far. My total goal is 50 lbs and the way I have been going, I think I can do it. I am doing a combination of Weight Watchers and exercise. Yes, it does cut into my knitting time, and if I can figure out a way to exercise and knit, I will. I mean I am only walking, but I am doing more than a nice stroll around the block.

So why am I telling you this now? Well, a small group of wonderful people have been helping me and they have been losing as well. I am not calling anyone out here – I mean I don’t want people talking about my fat ass, so I am not going to talk about their’s and their soon to be lack of. (I don’t think any of them have a fat ass, its a figure of speech. OK, I think *I* have a fat ass, but that is a totally different post for a different day. Anyway. These people are amazing and they have been incredible and now I am ready to be accountable to more than just them. I swear with Cap’n Crunch as my witness that I am going to get rid of these extra pounds. I only have 34 more to go to my goal – at an average of 1 per week that is 34 more weeks. WEEEEE! If you are wondering, I have been losing an average of 2.3, but as with all things, I expect that I will stop at some point and have to ramp it up.

I consider this a lifestyle change and not a diet. I don’t want to gain it back. I don’t want to be as heavy as I am now, or was a few weeks ago. Anyone else want to join in with us? We are doing some motivational emails to each other and checking in daily and I will happily add you to my list. Or you can get your very own email if you don’t want to be called out to the group. Leave a comment or email me at aabernathy at gmail dot com.
