I would like to say that I spent the weekend spinning, but I didn’t. I will be participating in the Tour d’Fleece again this year – so there will be lots of spinning – even though I will be in California for a full week in July – it just means that a drop spindle will have to go with me on the trip.

So what did I do this weekend? One word: Crochet. Some of it I can’t show you yet – then there are the dishcloths.

Crochet 002

Pattern: Diamond Dishcloth (Ravelry Link)
Yarn: Sugar n Cream in Plum Pudding
Hook: H

Crochet 001

Pattern: Granny Square Discloth (Ravelry Link)
Yarn: Sugar n Cream in Plum Pudding
Hook: J

These were quick, easy and fun!

I haven’t seen that colorway! I likee. Pretty dishcloths! Crocheting dishcloths is how I quit smoking back in the day.

I need to try my hand at crochet again, and perhaps without breaking my mother’s hook this time. Ok, ok you got me, provisional cast on isn’t “quite” crocheting but it’s all I have right now. Tell me more about this tour de fleece…
