title pic April in June

Posted by Aimee on June 9, 2008

I am away on business again this week, so no handspun. To be honest, I thought it was Tuesday ALL day today. I mean with school and work, I have just been swamped. But I have been knitting.

This little sweater was designed by Nell and the pattern is available at Knitch. If you call the shop and buy the yarn, you get the pattern for free!

Pattern: April Sweater
Gauge: 5 sts to the inch (if I remember correctly)
Needles: KnitPicks Options size 6. 5 for some finishing.
Yarn: Manos Del Uruguay Silk Blend – 3.5 skeins – the pattern said I would need 5 I have 1.5 left over.
Knitting time: 12 days
Size: Medium
Mods: I don’t do cap sleeves, so I added some SS and then some ribbing to mirror the bottom

This is a great pattern – worked in the round top down. The lace detailing is great and I love the vneck in the front!

Right now, this is VERY fitted, but as I continue to lose weight, it will loosen up. Right now I am at 29 lbs lost, so it is hard to judge final size – but by the time I finish dropping the weight AND it is fall (when I will wear this cause it is FRAKKING HOT! right now), then this will look FANTASTIC on me!

I really enjoyed knitting this. Olivia is working on it too – so watch out for hers – and if you are interested in the pattern and yarn, contact Knitch – Kim is teh awesome as is her entire staff and she will get you hooked up!
