We got a great book in the shop – Noro Joy! – and this vest spoke to me. It spoke to me so loudly that I asked Remi to order the yarn – the book AND the yarn have been flying off the shelves!

Pattern: Marina
Yarn: Noro Taiyo – 3 balls – I don’t remember the colorway number, but it happens to be the same as the book – rare for me.
Buttons: Glass from Moving Mud
Needles: Denise – uh – 7s I think
Knitting time: not long – this is knit in 3 pieces and goes pretty fast

I really enjoyed knitting this. A lot. I do need to pull one of the button bands out, that is why we have the weird poses – to hide the craziness that is the bottom of that button band.

This vest looked great on everyone who tried it on when it was in the shop for the Noro trunk show and I really really like it.

I swear it fits, but when I pull the button band off, I will be anchoring the buttons a little better – probably on a ribbon that I will stitch to the back of the button band.

I found these buttons at Knitch and I have to say they are perfection on this vest!
