A few weeks ago my good friend Alyson posted a new sock pattern! It’s awesome and I planned on knitting it. Plus all of the proceeds for the pattern sale go to Ravelry.

Then I bought some Fleece Artist Nova Socks from Charlotte Yarn and CO another sock. But I didn’t like it, so I ripped it and started on the Bob’s Party Socks!

Pattern: Bob’s Party Socks by Alyson Johnson
Yarn: Fleece Artist Nova socks – who the hell ever knows the colorway names for their stuff, it isn’t ever labeled.
Needles: Addi Turbo size 2 – 32″
Mods: I used a 2 instead of a size 1 needle – so I factored in for positive ease in width – these socks fit perfectly – since I used a needle size up, I only needed 3 repeats up the foot and 3 more up the leg. Also, I emailed with Alyson about the pattern a bit to take this into consideration – I LOVED the cuff, but it was WAY big – like bigger than the sock itself and floppy, so she added a couple suggestions for negative ease – I k4, k2tog all the way around for one round between the pattern and the cuff. Oh – I pick up my wrapped stitches just a tad differently than Alyson suggests, but I like it so that is how I do it.
Notes: Use this yarn again. Knit this pattern again. Enough said.

I love these socks. They are SO comfy that I never want to take them off!

No really. I may never take them off.

Your socks are lovely.
Yay, I love them! They look so pretty…and now I’m wondering if I want to rip back the cuff on my own socks, maybe I should try the snuggly cuff….
Yay!!
Very pretty!!
Never? Man, they smell already!!! Though, they LOOK great!
I love the socks too – so pretty and the yarn choice is perfect!
more of a reason to wish I could knit. Tired of me going back in time and commenting yet? I hope not. I’m having fun!
