*cough*hack*cough*

by Aimee on March 11, 2008

Well, I had planned to have the Masters level I hat finished by today – but sadly, no. I swatched for it because I needed to get gauge. I got gauge. I CO. I knit the ribbing. then I realized that I was supposed to CO on SMALLER needles, not the gauge needles which you knit the rest of the hat in. Crap. I so frogged. I planned to CO and knit it Sunday. Then, well, I got sick. And I mean sick. Not a cold, not the flu. Something worse. Something awful. An allergic reaction to some unknown something that is affecting my lungs. And only my lungs. On Sunday afternoon my chest felt a little tight, but I thought it was because it was chilly outside and you know how your chest gets tight when it is cold. By Sunday night I was wheezing and coughing so badly that Tattoo Boyfriend insisted that I go to the doctor.

Off to the doc I went and he said that since I am not prone to allergies and my lungs are all gurgly and my sinus area is clear, well, here are some meds to take and good luck. Yeah.

So no real knitting has been done since Saturday and I don’t think that I have done anything other than work and sleep. I am barely eating because it doesn’t appeal to me to do so. I want to just go back to sleep.

I will have real knitting content tomorrow as I REALLY worked on finishing some things last week – so I have PROGRESS on several projects – I like progress. Progress is good. Maybe I can knit a little tonight before I pass back out.

trouble breathing is no fun. I don’t know if it’s worse when you lay down, but my mother always makes me sleep with a stack of pillows behind me to help keep things down. Sounds awful, but with enough pillows it’s really not too bad. Plus anything is better than hacking all night and most of the morning. Get well soon.

I hope the medecine has kicked in by now! That sounds awful. Must have been for boyfriend to say it’s time for the doctor. Men NEVER say that…..

This makes my little cold sound like a breeze. I hope you don’t have pneumonia like my dad. Keep sleeping and get well soon.
